Mario, introduce yourself
to your fans.
Hello, this is Mario. Thank you very much for joining my fan
club and for choosing to support me and my music. Some of you
may know me from my hard rock band, Vogue’s Rogues - others
may just be getting to know me through my latin album. Either
way, I want you to know that music is what I love to do and
I try to give you pieces of my heart and soul in every song
I write. Every song represents a different part of my personality
and inner feelings which I choose to share with you the listener.
It is all real and it is all from the heart which is why I chose
to name the album "De un Corazón a Otro" which
means "from one heart to another".
What can we expect from the album?
As you can probably guess from the album title, all the songs
center around love. There are quite a few ballads on the album,
some happy, some sad. I try to approach song topics, even serious
ones in a positive way as there is already too much negativity
in the world. The other songs center on love in different ways,
such as love of your country, love for your fellow man and so
on. Modestly speaking, I think people that listen to my album
will find it enjoyable, spiritual and should be able to relate
to most, if not all, of the topics I sing about on the album.
Which song is your favorite on the
album?
I don’t know how it is felt by other songwriters but every time
I write a song I treat it like a baby that I nurture throughout
the recording process and I have a lot of conflicting inner
feelings about putting it out in the open to be criticized,
rejected or accepted. It’s like with children, every parent
wants their child to fit in and be accepted but I know it can’t
always be that way. So it’s impossible for me to say which song
is my favorite since they are all very special to me. However,
there are songs on the album that come from a more personal
place and hold a little more meaning to me personally such as
"Disfrutar de la vida", "Mi preciosa flores"
and "Amor y Paz".
